Filed under: Uncategorized — danielcottle @ 11:04 PM

Well once again I have not had enough time to post these here.

Day 16- This was taken at the state park on a brisk falls day. All the colors are about done for the year which is sad.
Day 16- Fall is over....

Day 17- Kritty!!!

These are from our third and last photoshoot where we got some cool images. I thought a collage suited these.
Day 17- Montage of Kritty

Day 18- Halloween

I didnt think there is anything more appropriate for halloween other than a picture of a graveyard. This one in particular has some very old graves. Some of the graves had orange tape around them you can kinda see it in the picture. Im not sure what that was about.

Day 13- Symmetry

Filed under: Uncategorized — danielcottle @ 1:03 AM

Well I’m not exactly sure what this was, maybe an old part of a barn? I would have taken a closer look but there was a no trespassing sign 10 feet away. I was standing on the road dodging cars for this shot.

Day 9- Water Tension

Filed under: Uncategorized — danielcottle @ 9:05 PM

The paperclip shows tension in water which is normally invisible to the naked eye. The lighting is from a shade cloth used in greenhouses.

Here is my attempt at a stereogram.

What I have done here is take two individual picture of the same subject from slightly different angles. To view the image properly all you need to do is cross your eyes and match the two images up in the middle. I focus on a single point in the center(sticker) cross my eyes and just concentrate on it for a second for my eyes to go in focus. Then you should be able to see the depth. The text should also be coming out towards you. It may take a bit of practice to get used to it but I think its worth it if you have never tried it.

Day 6- A portrait with a twist. The camera in the photo is my old Burke and James 4×5 camera. I am working towards restoring it in the future..
Day 6- a self portrait with a twist

Day 7- Gradation. Our Japanese Maple has a wonderful tendency to have a variety of colors on an individual stem.
Day 7- Gradiation

On a side note I am trying to integrate this blog with my actual website www.danielcottle.com Hopefully I will get this done soon.
